Open to product roles and contract projects

Wiktor Oczkoś

Business and systems analyst, moving into product.

I work between business and engineering. I run the workshops, map the processes, write the backlog and see features through testing to release. More than four years across telecom CRM, retail tech and market data.

Where I've worked

Three roles, each a step closer to owning the product: data first, then delivery, then the requirements themselves.

  1. July 2024 to present

    Gdynia, Poland

    Telecom

Business and System Analyst at Vectra

Defining how an in-house CRM grows: what it should do, how the processes run, and when a feature is ready for the people who use it.

    • Led workshops with key stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements for enhancing and scaling the CRM.
    • Designed workflows and prototypes for customer service operations (resignations, debt collection, equipment returns), with UML and BPMN diagrams to align business and technical teams.
    • Wrote user stories and managed backlog delivery in Jira across the full software development lifecycle.
    • Produced system and process documentation, technical specs and wireframes in Confluence for handover between business units and engineering.
    • Coordinated IT and user acceptance testing, tracked defect resolution, and presented new functionality to end users and leadership.

IT Project Manager at Esotiq & Henderson

Ran the project that built the first autonomous store for a fashion brand, recognised with the Digital Excellence Award by CIONET.

    • Coordinated the entire project lifecycle for the store's creation.
    • Managed a multi-million PLN budget and a team of 10 developers, testers and graphic designers.
    • Oversaw development of the sales app, the queue system and backend integrations, including the RFID security gate.
    • Directed Agile R&D delivery across the 18-month initiative, with daily stand-ups and two-week sprints in Jira, tracking KPIs for budget, team output and feature launches.
    • Kept international stakeholders up to date on project status.

Things I've built and published

Research from university and projects I build on my own time.

Publication

LEGO set price dataset

A dataset of LEGO sets with item counts and pricing history, built for AI-based set price prediction. Collected with an HTML scraper and paired with a machine learning model, both written in Python. The granularity supports aggregate and time-series analysis.

Published in Data in Brief, 2024, with Gdańsk University of Technology.

What I can help with

For teams that need someone to turn a business problem into something engineers can build.

  • Requirements and process design

Stakeholder workshops, BPMN and UML models, user stories and acceptance criteria that business and engineering both sign off.

  • MVP scoping and prototyping

Cutting an idea down to the first version worth building: the features, the flows and the wireframes.

  • CRM and workflow design

Customer service processes mapped end to end, then specified so the system supports the way the team works.

  • Delivery and UAT

Backlog ownership, sprint cadence, test coordination and defect tracking through to release.

Focus area

AI for analysts

How business and systems analysts can put AI tools to work: which use cases pay off, which tools fit, how to keep data secure and GDPR-compliant, what the return looks like, and how to run a controlled pilot before rolling anything out.
